Great family restaurant! All 5 of us loved our dinners! Would definitely recommend and we will be back next we visit Wasaga. Staff and Owners were very friendly. My son loved the apple fritter to go with extra ice cream and homemade caramel sauce!

Great food, friendly service, clean and pleasant diner atmosphere. We stopped in on Sunday, July 14, on our way camping. There was one table going when we came on, looked like local seniors out for post-church lunch. Two or three other parties came while we were there. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, my wife had fish and chips, my kids had ribs, poutine and chicken strips (I helped polish off the ribs and poutine). Everything was excellent, and the wait was minimal. This looks like our new stop on trips north!

Cozy little place with big heart. The food is cooked fresh and taste amazing. Fish and chips was great. Fish was fresh, moist and flakey. The batter was very good. Not greasy at all. Deli sandwiches meat was nice. Tasted fresh. The baked beans was out of the world good. Sandwich was a little difficult to close. Had to eat it with knife and fork, but I'd still order it again. Delicious flavours right when the open, you know your getting Fresh meat and ingredients. Will definitely go back.

They have nice sized tea pots and good food.

Was seated today and was ignored for 20 minutes while people that were seated after us had drink orders taken.

Ordered the steak sandwich and it was one of the best I've had. I've had a few in Toronto and this one might be the best. Service was slow but with one server that's expected. She was fast with taking orders and food is worth it. Small place so consider reserving first.

Wow !!!! Everything, no exceptions, is delicious here. If you have to choose a place to go eat, this is the one I tell you. And for the price, it's a MUST !!! -from 4 Quebec-Montrealers who had their share of "good" places and now know what good food tastes like. In total honesty, thanks !!!

It was nice to have fresh home cooked food. The owners and staff were very friendly and attentive. You could tell that many of the customers had been there before. I enjoyed the fresh turkey on my clubhouse . I would definitely go back for seconds when im in town again.

Waitress talked about how good the food was and fresh, however quite the opposite.. bland , barley cooked frozen burger, with frozen fries... my wifes chicken was the bland and over cooked.. people say this place is really good, so not sure if it was an off day.. overall not impressed

I went here in August 2019. Food was great and the pricing is also good. Place was clean and they were quite responsive. I felt I had made a good choice

We read about this place on-line and had to come. The first time we did not have reservations, and there were 8 of us. We arrived around 5:30 and we got turned away at the door. We made reservations and got in a few days later. There were 4 adults and 2 kids. We had an excellent experience. Everyone enjoyed their food. The service was friendly. The establishment was clean. I would highly recommend the West River Cookhouse.

We ordered the fish and chips and it was the best fish and chips I've eaten this far. Super crispy and awesome. We got excellent attention from the staff and they were very polite and courteous. A definite recommend!

Delicious food, plentiful, well priced. Service was great as well. Recommended!

Decent place for local food. Clean decor, and quick service. Friendly staff. Special of the day was better than expected, and different than the regular menu items you'll find anywhere. Nice cold refreshing local beer to wash it down. Will be back for sure!

The Cookhouse is great real small town home restaurant. Great food, great service great prices. I recommend the Saturday night special, lobster stuffed ravioli with shrimp and asparagus in a white wine.lobseter sauce! This cowboy loves the Cookhouse!

Amazing service and awesome home cooked meals

It’s edible, but I wouldn’t recommend. I had a frozen, dried out hamburger with frozen fries, but they strive to tell every customer they serve ‘real food’. Maybe real for dogs but not for people. Don’t worry, the restaurant owners don’t take to kindly to negative reviews, so expect some sarcastic remarks from them. Maybe if they actually invest in making burgers FRESH and get a potato cutter for FRESH fries, maybe then it would be REAL food. This place is a joke, serious. Go to a big box place before heading here. Please note their replies to customers. They don’t know how or what customer service is. Don’t worry. We won’t be back and hopefully plenty of folks will see this and rethink attending your establishment.

This is a wonderful community family restaurant operated by competent hands-on management and staff. The food is well prepared and served. The owner has competent food service background and I recommend that he use it to ramp up his menu selection. The front end needs a thorough cleaning and some upgrades now that spring is here.Enjoy this hidden gem.

A MUST try restaurant in Wasaga Beach. Vast selection of amazing homecooked meals, served by super-friendly staff. Their caramel pie and rice pudding is absolutely the best ever. Don't consider eating anywhere else when you're in town!!
